Affordable Housing Conversion

Working with an activist community group in Washington DC, we developed planning scenarios for converting a decommissioned hotel into an affordable housing complex. The feasibility study explores how to reconfigure building services and minimally modify the existing footprint to yield the maximum number of affordable units. The community group used the plans to lobby local politicians for a more active role in ensuring affordable housing within the District of Columbia.
